Small but Cosy Room available 10/15 in North Oakland, CA

My old buddy Sascha is on the prowl for new folks for his apartment! I've been there and can testify that it's totally lovely and the cats are as well.

Small But Cosy Room Available in North Oakland with Three Lovely Housemates (room available October 15st or when we find someone great)

Us: We’re community minded folks, but have pretty independent lives. We share staple foods and sometimes cook together. We’re all committed to social justice, bicycles and cats. One person is a student/social worker/sporty dyke. Another is an artist/carpenter/transguy/”part-cat/part-man” Another is a gardener/writer/ straight guy who founded a radical organization for crazy people...

You: friendly, clean, good communicator, feminist, anti-racist, queer or queer-friendly, respectful and responsible. We’d like to maintain a gender/energy balance, so trans and gender non-conforming folks are great; but a feminist guy who is aware of how he takes up space could be cool, too.

The room is fairly small and could work out well for someone who doesn’t have much stuff! The rent is also very cheap! Screening will be rigorous and please don’t take it personally if we don’t respond to you: we really need the right person.

The apartment: Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, three stories Bike storage, laundry, wireless internet, gas appliances, easy street parking. Beautiful big windows and light throughout. Located off MLK halfway between Ashby and Macarthur BARTs, chill neighborhood, lots of families, close to South Berkeley, Temescal, 580 freeway, etc Abundant common space: living/dining room, good sized kitchen, two small porches for kickin it Rent is $350. utilities average $25 in summer, about $40 in the winter
