Liz and her girlfriend Annie are looking for a third housemate for their new fabulous house they're so excited about! I have known Liz for years through through Jewy stuff and West Philly stuff.
For October 1st, One year lease
We are moving into a cozy and quaint 3 bedroom row home on the 4700 block of Larchwood on October 1st. The house has a washer and dryer in the basement, a front porch, and a huge back deck with a one car driveway beneath. Quiet, tree-lined street with super quick access to the 34 trolley on Baltimore Avenue and multiple bus lines. The house is an easy walk to the Clark Park farmers market, multiple coffee shops, and West Philly’s awesome cuisine scene: Vietnam, Vientiane, Honest Tom’s, Local 44, etc. Recently renovated kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a butcher block countertop. Great plant-friendly sun room. No pets, sorry.
You would pay $600/month, which includes your rent and utilities. Your bedroom is large and bright, with ample closet space and windows on two walls. We plan to use the third bedroom as a combo office-guest room, which you will have full access to.
We are: two women in our late 20’s/early 30’s. One of us is in graduate school for social work; the other is a museum professional and adjunct professor. We enjoy food and cooking (our favorites include gado gado and massaged kale salad). We like watching movies, listening to music, dancing, making art, and sipping a good cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We occasionally have friends over for dinner/potlucks. We are excellent communicators with experience in communal living. We are tidy, easy-going, quiet and responsible. We care about good design. If you have mid-century modern furniture, please bring it!
You are: a young, creative, professional or grad student looking for a laid back and communally-minded home. You are the sweet combo of intellectual and fun loving. You care about your space and take the initiative to maintain a clean and beautiful home. You like to cook and share meals together, think conscientiously about "treading lightly" in the world – buying local / CSA share, reusing and recycling, composting (if possible) and being a thoughtful consumer. You are LGBTQ friendly, obviously! You’re comfortable with us hosting the occasional progressive/feminist/queer Jewish and Christian holiday observances. You value relaxation. You have something to say!
